Episode 28: Shannon MacFarlane on the Gifts of Grief

How did you know that this was your gift?

That’s the question I asked this week’s guest.

This week, I’m welcoming Shannon MacFarlane, compassionate human, artist, and photographer specializing in grief and bereavement - for both humans and their animals.

Our conversation ranges from storytelling to holding space, from deep grief to overwhelming beauty. Shannon shares about her personal journey - how she nearly lost her son and how her husband nearly lost them both, what it’s like to view life, grief, and death through the lens of a photographer, how she cares for herself whilst doing deep and emotion-laden work, and how it’s really all about intention and connection.

I’m still learning from this conversation. Listen in.
