growing pains, going under the knife, and how to finally find your voice.

This past weekend, I sent a love letter to my email list. There are big, big, beautiful things coming in the next couple of months here at katekmccarthy.com, and, as a part of the process, I wanted to share some new announcements and updates.

Rather than keeping that letter under lock-and-key, I wanted to open it up and share all of the shifting and changing -- with you.

If you aren't a part of the community yet, I would absolutely adore for you to join us. There's more goodness coming, I can't wait to show you!

Happy Saturday, love!

My wish this morning is that you’re enjoying these words with two days of rest, relaxation, connection and creation before you. As for myself, I’m curled up on my couch, cup of tea in hand and laptop open, here to write you a little Saturday love note.

I don’t say it enough, but it’s the most amazing honor to be invited into your email inboxes each week, to be able to connect and share something so incredibly personal with such radiant souls.

This week, in addition to my weekly blog post (linked here and below, love!), I'm here to share with you a couple of announcements. I’m big on communication, honesty and integrity, and so, grounded in that, I wanted to let you in on a few new (and super exciting!) shifts that you’ll be seeing over the next few weeks.

Without further ado...

1.) Truthfully, I struggled over how to share this first announcement.

But, in the spirit of honesty, I’m just going to spill the beans. This Thursday, March 10th, I’ll be going under the knife for a surgery that’s deeply connected to my overall wellbeing. Don’t worry, nothing is wrong or critical, but I have decided to take the necessary steps to keep it that way. I’m hoping that, with this surgery, I’ll have less pain and a whole hell of a lot more energy. Words can’t begin to share my gratitude for the level of support and love that I’ve already received around this… I’m speechless.

2.) With that being said, I’ve decided to intentionally up the self-care and community support in the coming weeks.

I shared this intention with some of my business soul sisters, and boy... have they stepped up to the plate. Over the next six weeks or so, they’ll be taking over on the blog to share their wisdom, their passion, and their hearts with you all. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for their support and love, and I'm so excited for you to meet them!

I will still be in the “office,” working on client projects and more (much, much more!), but I’m being gentle with myself in the midst of my recovery.

3.) Beginning next Saturday, in addition to a guest blog from the graphic designer/brand expert of my dreams, the luminous Shelly Prokop, you’ll see a shift in the format and focus of our weekly emails.

As you might know, my work in the world has transformed and expanded over the past few months. My mission, in business and in life, is to reveal this one simple message: The world needs you and your voice. The way that I do this? By helping soulful women entrepreneurs and budding writers to connect with their authentic voices as writers and creatives - and by supporting them in getting their desperately needed work into the world.

As usual, I’ll be here each week to bring you reflection and inspiration on all things wholehearted and creative. But, starting next week, each Saturday you’ll also receive real-world content creation ideas and writing prompts to support you in discovering your voice as a writer. Because, love, the world needs you and your voice.

If that all sounds good to you (and I hope that it does!), I can’t wait to continue to grow and share and connect with you. You can join the community here to receive my weekly emails! If it doesn’t, no hard feelings! I totally get it (but I'll miss you, nonetheless).

This week on the blog, we’re talking about the reasons that we stay silent and the writing practice that shrank my inner censor and strengthened my creative spirit. It's good, good stuff.

With gratitude and love and light,

xx k
